Welcome to Collaboration,
the 2017 Regional AE Conference!
As Chair of the North
Carolina Association of REALTORS® AE Committee, I would like to welcome our
colleagues from Georgia and the surrounding region to what promises to be an
outstanding opportunity to learn more about our unique and challenging
responsibility to lead our respective associations.
This year’s conference
features RPAC training for those new to their jobs as AEs, as well as our more
seasoned veterans, and the latest news and developments impacting the
management of our Multiple Listing Services. We will kickoff the conference
with Morris Morrison who delivers a powerful message about transitions and
transformations. NAR’s Chris DeRosa will be on hand to provide
the latest information on NRDS, and a session on Core Standards is
available. Raleigh AE Tessa Hultz will
conduct a “boot camp” for new AEs, and Tyler Helms and Nobu Hata will provide
ideas on how to engage your members through the use of video. Lesley Walker (NAR) will provide a legal
update and information on how we can avoid legal risk. Bob Harris will be leading general sessions
to give us the information we need to execute good governance and work in a
These are just a few of the
opportunities that await you at this year’s Regional AE Conference.
The AEs and staff of the GAR
and NC REALTORS® have put together an outstanding program. However, I have found that some of the most
beneficial time I spend at this event occurs during informal conversations/discussions
with my colleagues—in the hotel hallways, during meals, between sessions, and
at other times when we have a chance to exchange information and
strategies. Each AE brings a different
perspective and approach to his/her profession.
And that is why we need you
to bring your own unique experiences and strategies to this year’s
conference. After all—this a Collaboration!
I look forward to seeing all
of you in Charlotte.
