Welcome to the 2016 Regional AE Conference website. As the Chair this year, I
am excited about the Conference and we are looking forward to hosting our friends
and fellow AE’s from North Carolina and surrounding states.
The Georgia Realtors® held our Inaugural Conference a couple of weeks ago in
Atlanta and during the Board of Directors meeting I was called upon to give the
report from the AE Forum which was held a couple of days earlier. As a part of
that report, I shared with the assembled Directors that we, the AE’s, are planning
our Regional event which will be held in Augusta in July. While at the podium, I
took the liberty of reminding the audience of the importance for each of you, as the
Chief Executive of your respective boards, being allowed/encouraged to attend the
Regional AE meeting each year. For many of us, the information that we garner at
this Conference is our best window into what is happening at the National and
State levels and how those things impact the members at the local level. I offered
to meet with/speak with the volunteer leaders in the audience to address any
questions that they have on the value of your participation at our Regional meeting,
and I continue to be happy to speak with any of them. With that, if you would like
to attend but are getting resistance from your Board members and would like for
me to reach out to them, I am happy to do so, just give me a call.
I think that we would all agree that this is a unique and challenging profession that
we are in, and the Conference Committee will strive to ensure that you get the
most benefit possible out of this year’s event.
