Leigh Brown
  Hold on to your seats and get ready for a great ride, Leigh Brown is in the house! Leigh is an international motivational speaker who can most likely motivate a snail to enter the 50 year dash! She is hilarious (at times *almost* inappropriate but in a “family friendly” way) and speaks from the heart. She is a tried and true, in the trenches, top-producing Realtor based in the Charlotte NC area. She is also the broker/owner of one of the most successful firms on the planet and her team kicks booty every single day! Leigh is in the RPAC Hall of Fame (high five if you know what that is!) and is the current CRS President.

Leigh takes pride in being a wife, a mama, an author (check out, a cat owner, and a child of God. She works hard every day to try and get life right. One step at a time. Because really, life is about #MoreThanHouses. 


Chris DeRosa 
  Christine DeRosa is the Managing Director of Financial Information Systems for the National Association of REALTORS® and is responsible for the acquisition and implementation of finance-based systems for the association. Ms. DeRosa also manages NRDS (National REALTORS® Database System) the Internet based membership database accessed by the local, state and national associations for tracking member records and the REALTOR® Electronic Commerce network.  Ms. DeRosa has been with NAR for over 25 years working in the technology area. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and has her RCE, CAE and IOM designations.

Bob Harris 
  There are more than one million nonprofit organizations in the USA. Bob has helped thousands of them to improve their outcomes. He started his career in Washington DC working with Presidential Classroom. He went on to build an association management company 
in Tallahassee, FL. He is on the faculty for the US Chamber of Commerce. He has worked in Amman, Jordan, Tokyo, Japan, Kiev, Ukraine, Beirut, Lebanon and Minsk, Belarus to help organizations. He received “Association Partner of the Year” award from Association Trends
Magazine.  He has authored books on association management. To improve management he created the Association Self-Auditing Process, used by more than 20,000 organizations. He believes that nonprofit organizations should be as efficient as any commercial business.  He has received awards for promoting association excellence and working in professional development. He has worked for Hyatt Hotels in Florida for 30 years. He’s been dubbed the “Martha Stewart of association management” for providing tips and templates for making management easier.  These are available free on his website at  Bob’s career passions are demonstrated in two principles:

• Promoting the impact of nonprofits in America.
• Sharing the tools for successful associations and chambers.

Nobu Hata 
  An industry veteran since 1996, Nobu is a student of marketing, communications trends, social media, and technology in the real estate industry having implemented and adapted various new school techniques to multiple successful real estate businesses.  Now NAR's Director of Member Engagement, Nobu brings insight and context of agent, brokerage and association issues up the national pipeline and delivers value-added information down in-person and online.

Tyler Helms 
  Tyler is the IT Manager for NC REALTORS® headquarters in their Greensboro office. He joined the NC REALTORS® family in 2013 after graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, and Design Education. Since joining the NC REALTOR® staff, Tyler has become an integral part in upgrading the association’s technology platforms, from website and social media to software and hardware throughout the office. His role in the Communications Department has expanded the association’s communication base through the use of technology. Tyler moderates and runs the Webinar Wednesday series and is responsible for editing, filming, and photographing NC REALTORS® events and marketing campaigns. He has filmed and edited over 250 videos for NC REALTORS® and continues to improve their online video presence. 


Tessa Hultz
  Tessa has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® since 2013.  She earned the RCE designation in 2008, the CAE designation in 2012, and was one of two inaugural recipients of the AE YPN Leaders of Tomorrow Award in 2014 and most recently, she earned the CIPS designation in 2016.

In her “downtime”, Tessa enjoys an interesting mix of hobbies including suburban farming, hang gliding, reading, writing, sky diving and hanging out with her 10 year old son, John Preston.


Kevin McQueen
  For the past 34 years, Kevin McQueen has worked with more than 300 MLSs and Realtor associations. He is widely recognized as an expert on MLS consolidation and regionalization, and planning for the future. Kevin has guided 50 associations through the regionalization process resulting in lower costs and better services for members.

Kevin spent 17 years as an MLS vendor (BORIS) and CEO of Realcomp, Michigan’s largest regional MLS. These experiences provided him with a 360-degree insider’s view of the MLS industry and its shifting landscape.

Lesley Walker
  Lesley Walker has been with NAR since May 2010. Lesley focuses her work on matters including the Americans with Disabilities Act, fair housing issues, NAR Constitution and Bylaws, Risk Management Issues Committee and general contract negotiation matters. Prior to joining NAR, Lesley's experience has focused on general corporate matters and financial services regulation, and includes three years at the North American Securities Administrators Association in Washington, D.C., where her work focused on securities regulation, corporate law, and association legal work. She received her J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law, and is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a B.S. and a B.A. Lesley is admitted to the state bar of Pennsylvania and is admitted as in-house counsel to the state bar of Illinois.

Stephanie Walker
  Stephanie Walker has been in the real estate business for 30 years. As the Broker/Owner of Stephanie Walker & Associates on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, her primary focus is on investment and resort property. At the national level, Stephanie served as the 2012 Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® Professional Standards Committee and the 2013 and 2014 Chair of the NAR Interpretations and Procedures Advisory Board.  In 2015, she served as Liaison to the NAR President, overseeing the Association Executives, Local and State Leadership Forums and serving on the NAR Executive Committee.  She currently serves on the NAR Professional Standards Committee, the Interpretations and Procedures Advisory Board, the Commitment to Excellence Advisory Board and is an NAR Director.  

At the state level, Stephanie has chaired the Bylaws and Professional Standards Committees and was the President of NCAR in 2011 and was honored as the 2016 NC REALTORS® REALTOR of the Year.  She has twice received with the NCAR Presidents award and is a recipient of the NCAR Regional Service Award.  She currently serves as Chair for the NCR William C. Bass Leadership Academy and is a long serving member of the Professional Standards Committee.

At the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®, Stephanie has served in nearly every position, including President in 2002.  She is a recipient of the REALTOR® of the Year and the Career Achievement Awards.

Stephanie holds the  ABR, CRS, GRI, RSPS, SRES, SFR, and CDPE designations and is trained in both REALTOR® and Superior Court Mediation. She is an instructor in Professional Standards Administration, Procedures and Process, Ethics, License Law, the NCREC annual update courses, GRI and the REALTOR® Mediation model.

Stephanie is married to her husband, Bill, and they enjoy 7 grandchildren.
